Not bad, the eyes are a little off-center, and the nose needs more structure Very nice for a first!

          Not bad!

Modeling wise there are a few things that catch my eye, mainly that the creases on his nose say that he's frowning, but his eyebrows don't reflect this.

The nose & lips seem too 'flat'. Obviously he's a stylised character & it's a front on view but they both look as if they could do with some more form. How does he look from a three quarter view?

Rendering/texturing wise, I like the jumper & his eyebrows. The SSS on his left nostril looks a bit strong. As mentioned the eyes are 'crossed' at the moment, also the edge of the iris is a little soft making them look quite glassy.

Obviously this is all IMHO, so take or leave any of it!

It's refreshing to see some character stuff in the Image Uploads

Cheers for the comments. Yeah I didnt use any reference for the head...only for the ears (which arent that visible). I also have no knowledge apart from everyday observation about the human form so there will be some errors
First time using SSS also, and to be honest im still not completely sure what value does what...there was a lot of guesswork involved.

For this project I was really testing workflows from zbrush to 3dsmax. My next one will be a lot more anatomically correct...with any luck
