  • Soap in Car Wash

    Hey guys,
This job is already complete, but wanted to refine it while I have some extra time. I was still getting familiar with the Parray at this time, so this shows the car with soap on it before it is rinsed off from the sprayers. However, I think a more affective image would have it spraying while the soap is dripping off. Any ideas?
I like the couple other posts of showing snow, and at low resolutions, the snow mat could give an appearance of soap...
Currently, the soap mat used on the car is simply vray displaced with more of a cloud material.
    Thanks

good light and shaders but render is little bit noisy.

I really like the image. Some curve tweaking in PS could do though, and also, i think the exterior should be a tad brighter and washed out, the deep blue color of the sky seems really distracting.

thanks for all of the tips...I'll adjust those settings at the same time.
I will try a parray on selected faces of the vehicle to give the soap affect and also "activate" the water nozzles to show a rinse affect. probably have to add some myst.

I think maybe some motion blur or some water spraying might add alittle more indication to whats going on inthe car wash!! Just a thought

Also i agree with the comments on the little girl, but for me people looking straight at the camara always disturb an image, as i find the first thing your eyes are drawn to is the eyes looking back at you (sun glasses in this case)!!

Maybe a child playing might fit better.

Good job though the compostion is nice and the lighting works well.

              Cheers

                Hey Matt,
Thanks for the advice. I totally agree about the people. I didn't have any good 3d children so I had to edit an actual photo and used a simple opac map. In fact, I don't really like inserting any people in the scenes, but often clients like to have them for marketing purposes. Definitely agree about the spraying. As soon as one of my computers are free I'll adjust the sprayers. With the water spraying, I'll have to account for water on the glass window and also the walls...could get interesting with rendering times.

I think the extra activity could really draw the eye into that part of the space.

But yes you're right the render times could get very interesting!!

                  Good luck

                  Cheers

                  Matt

Nice looking render, flooring looks great and so does the soap. Only thing I see is the odd looking trees just beyond the car outside.
