Finally got this last Friday and was messing around with it on the weekend.

Simple Lavender Bush:



Bougainvillea - Climbs and crawls over whatever you want it to! In this case it's growing over the top of an invisible glass pane.

Lavender:
1. Tell to spawn from the origin/spawn from point.
2. Add randomness, push them down with negative Global Vector. Add cylinder shape and tweak. Radius driven by Length %.
3. Add stems which will go from the "trunk"/branches all the way to the flower bud.
4. Tell them to spawn along the upper 50% of the trunk, direction randomness, positive Global Vector. Again, cylinder.
5. Add leaves, tell them to spawn from 30-60% mark on the stems, add randomness, upwards vector, tell them to distribute 4 every 360 degrees, and set a certain density, add a bit of Chaos (parameter) to most params. Add leaf shape and tweak. Size and density driven by % along the stem so they peter in and out.
6. Turn everything off, Add "Flower_Start" path, use this to make little stem.
7. Add Flower_Stems, distribute on Flower_Start from about 20-100% on that path, 3 every 360 degrees, with Chaos, position LOCAL vector (so it follows the flower direction rather than pointing straight up, if the flower is on an angle for example this would look odd), etc.
8. Add Flower_Petals, spawn single petal per tip of Flower_Stems, add leaf shape and tweak.
