  • another just for fun render

after seeing maxers recent post i thought i'd spend some today while i had some down time on a simple scene. here's what i have so far. any comments on things to add or tweak? i'd like to finish this up before things heat up again.
    much thanks,

nice render. Like the lighting and the textures are great. Particularly like the ground. Displacement?

      fun render

Cool. You might think about moving the jar so it doesn't look like it is holding up the bench. It looks like it is holding up the bench, but is falling inside the lip of the jar.

Very nice work! The vine leaves seem like they haven't been mapped yet (triangulated). Curious, are the rocks modeled at the base of the image or are they a procedural map (displacement)?

Nice. I agree with glorybound about the pot. Maybe you could lower the view a bit catching a little of the under side of the bench and maybe that will move where to the top of the pot is so it doesn't line up with that edge. Just an idea. Either way its looking good. Displacement on the rocks looks great.

here is a evening shot. i adjusted the pot as suggested. i really need to make time to do more of these little scenes. 3d work is fun but its even more fun when you don't have to worry about client's demands
