I created this model last year for a client which has just given me permission to display it, although I'm still not allowed to discuss it purpose.

I had to optimize this model for its use so all the the turbosmooths were collapsed, and edges were deleted. A very long process, but I couldn't really figure out any other way to do it. I wasn't allowed to use Polycruncher or the optimizer in max

Modeled in Max and rendered with Vray

Ive included a few screenshots and wires as well

    Thanks for looking

The modeling looks very good, but for me the shaders are letting this image down. The main paint shader definately needs work. Maybe the lighting setup needs to be looked at. The tyre material looks very flat. No real details at all there. The brake discs/calipers and alloy wheels look like they are all made from the same material. Im pretty sure thats not the case

Paint shader looks better for sure. Brake areas look better too. The tyre rubber material still looks odd to me though. It may be worth checking out: http://www.suurland.com/ so that you have a reference to a cgi version of rubber. Basically, stronger highlights to get those details to show nicely.

Not sure if your client has specified a white background, but it is also worth noting how Tomas Suurland presents his cars and the type of background he uses

I agree with Steve. The model is great, not really a fan of the white background though.

congratulations for the model very well done! I like a lot interiors too
About the shader/materials used i'd say miss depth look little flat.
I think u should play a little more on glasses, and black plastics, tyres material to give more shininess and reflections as treated with oiled spray and some firm on those (good year, dunlop, michelin, PIRELLI, some of those with bump/normal map), and the carpaint miss that brilliant details that is charateristic of those colors painted (like fine pointed shine highlights).
            Hope it helps
            Congratulations anyway not bad work
