  • Penthouse Living Room

    Hi All,

Just completed a very big job of a high spec penthouse apartment, 8 images total.
Everything was specifed down to the print on the crockery and flowers, and almost everything modelled from scratch.

    Some Stats:
    Render time: 12 hrs DR 3 machines @ 5000x2500
Lighting: HDRI External - I compiled a new HDRI from the panorama photo and a similar HDRI spherical night sky. Internal lights are vray spheres and planes.
The chandilier is PF over a hidden dome.
Also I created almost all the textures from scratch, includding the floor.
I have uploaded the HDRI and flooring texture if anyone is interested:

    Night HDRI
    Floor Texture Diffuse
    Floor Texture Reflection
    Floor Texture Reflection

This forum is great and thanks to all for the contributions.

    Cheers

        I want that mirror!!!
Well done on these - lots of detail which is hugely beneficial to the realism.
        Kind Regards,

Looking good, you need to turn on SubPixelMapping..

Thanks for all the kind words.
I was sure I turned the subpixelmapping on but also noticed all the sparkled pixels on the chrome material, I will check and get back.
The apartment is in Brisbane, Australia, on the south bank of the city overlooking it.
I will also upload some of the others, but as most jobs go not all of them turn out as good as you would like, with the given time frame that is.

Thanks for the Textures and the HDRI!

The renderings look 100% like Photos,
theres nothing to improve i think.
                          Reflect, repent and reboot.
                          Order shall return.

This is a great render, very nice modelling, the attention to detail is immaculate.

The only minor thing that i notice, and it is minor, is there any windows? there just seems to be a lack of internal reflections in front of the backdrop.

                            Just a thought!

                            Great work,

                            Cheers

Some more images from the project that turned out ok.
Again alot of the stuff has been custom modelled etc. and way too many revisions to keep track off.
