  • Vray Environment Fog test

Haven't posted in awhile, so I thought I might post a test I created, while figuring out the new environmentfog function. I'm finding it to be pretty cool, if a little 'hard to predict.' Some photoshop and AE added. Car is from a library.

      Oh sweet!

Percy, are those VEF clouds as well? if so, how easy (or difficult) are you finding them to combine with the VEF distance fog/haze? Or is that the post part?

everything is 3d, including the clouds. Post was some general curves, and the sun rays. I could post a stripped down scene later. Can't provide the car of course.

Love those godrays! Love them! I think this image demonstrates quite well what amazing images can be created when the new volume shader is properly put to work.

                    Best regards!

The whole point of the exercise was to see if I could get vray created clouds and godrays using the current tools. I could not. lol

It's not impossible, but it's tricky; it will be easier when we implement two VRayEnvironmentFog atmospherics to blend properly.

                          Best regards,

                            It looks wonderful
I dont know what godrays are. I looked for in the dictionary but couldnot find. I guess they are the rays like the volume light?
                            so they are post?
                            can you show original render?
                            thanks
