Here is one I just wrapped up. It was a challenge to make bad architecture look good, but I gave it my best shot.

    I share your pain.

It is amazing how big box retail/commercial/whatever makes such heavy use of visualization despite what is generally uninspired design.

I can't complain though, it is relatively simple work, and there is plenty of it. Plus there is a lot of incentive to master working with materials, since you usually will see very large spans of the same or similar materials at small and great distances.

For the obligatory overall view, I think this works very well. I think another view highlighting an area of interest would help the sell though, something closer to the entrance showing off the more interesting signage and sidewalk landscaping, perhaps using the greenery in the parking islands for some framing.

Sadly the challenge of making bad architecture look good is less about accenting the design with entourage than it is distracting from the design with entourage.

despite of all there are still some 3D/rendering issues thet can be improved.

      1. wet asphalt - looks artificial
      2. cars - overexposed. Probably have to improve the materials.
      3. trees - very dark. you can fix them in photoshop, but you can give them more life materials.

In general you need more vibrant colors. It will be a good option if you have lot's more people and "noisy" atmosphere.

I already fixed the pavement and trees, but I was waiting for a chance to re-render. The client loved it and had no changes so I'll make the changes on my own time.
