stevesideas- A lot of the newer LnD rooms are becoming almost more like hotel rooms with a few more furnishings and decorations. But Yeah, I probably added more pictures than there normally would be.
The monitor is a little too bright and there are a few spots that need to have higher settings on to clean them up. Also I think I'll swap out that cart for a bassinet. I have more models I could throw in the scene but I don't want it to get too cluttered.Phil Van Haitsma

I wish i could show you a photo of the delivery suite I was in recently (second kid). Behind the bed there was a wall of stuff like RCD protected powerpoints, emergency power points and a whole bunch of other stuff I had no idea about. There was a LOT of cupboards around the room. Inside the cupboards they kept emergency equipment i guess so you dont see them and get freaked out. The "gas" was also in the cubboard. There was nappies, blankets and all of the other stuff like rubber glove supplies etc in the other cupboards - pretty much everything they could possibly need was in 1 room but fairly well concealed. As someone else said, the room was also kind of luxurious with timber panelling and cuboards and SS trimming. there was also a lot of mood lighting and during the delivery the main lights were off. Basically the intention with birth suite's now is to create a relaxed environment - the ladies really dont want to see forcepts lying around! :P
The basinet in the bith suites also have heatlamps over them because newborns generally need to sit under them for a while after coming out. I think the bed looks slightly small as well and should have a remote visible for adjusting if patients sit up or whatever. There was also a bit more in terms emercency release leavers (red) etc but maybe thats just down to different manufacturers. Oh there was also a light form th ceiling like a dentist lamp which was pretty large so it can be moved to wherever the lady is having her baby.
Good image, I just think you could potentially add a bit more equipment that people may need when doing these kinds of scenes for new proposed suites. Hope that helps!

Cool. The Bassinet and baby monitoring/IR lamp cart help set where you are.
Have you considered offering a few variants of the furniture for the model collection? Something along this line and something a bit more soft/friendly; wood for the bassinet cart and monitoring/computer station, possibly another bed option, etc?

paulison-Actually I was just in one of these rooms about a month ago (1st child, a boy) and you're right there is a lot more stuff on the wall and little boxes of gloves or other supplies. Adding some more of the supplies in the future collections is a very good idea. As for the bassinet the warmer that they use right after birth is on the right of the image.(something I didn't see used because my wife ended up having a c-section) I wasn't planning on putting in that funky big light you're taking about because the one I remember came out of the ceiling and was concealed most of the time, plus I didn't originally plan on showing the ceiling because the image needed to be thin. But since I have pulled back on it now it could almost be seen. I think the biggest thing is to add a lot of the plugs and emergency stuff behind the bed like you pointed out. Thanks for the feedback paulison.Phil Van Haitsma
