Here is a group of homes I have been working on.

I know.... same old ugly sky . It just seems to work. I hope it works for this one. This is my first successful HDRI scene. I also used vrayscatter, which is a brilliant plug-in.

Wow! Excellent quality!! Nice match of scenelighting with the sky. Grass looks very believable and good use of DOF on the foreground to fix the images focus.

The birds in the 3rd image are a bit much for my taste though and due to the high contrast on that spot they draw a lot of attention. And it's approximately the same group of birds in all pictures, that's how i could tell it isn't just a photograph but someone used photoshop to add the birds.

nice work! my only beef is that the fence in the foreground is too distracting. My eye keeps going to it and not where they should be going.

I guess if I had the fence pointing to the focal (front door) it might help. I tried, but could not really find a way to do it. I'll work on it.

Thanks for the replies guys! Each of these homes are priced at $475,000.00. We are planning on building 20 of them and the model is going up now. A lot of money... we'll see if they sell.

Look real nice - great mood. To me something looks wrong with the DOF on the fence - kind of like the edges are too hard or something. How did you do the DOF -vray or post?

              Dof

I might have added a sharpen pass after the DOF in PS. I do the DOF in PS so I don't have to mess with the camera in V-Ray. Is there a rule of thumb when doing a DOF in V-Ray. If I get my camera exposed properly do I like triple my shutter speed and divide my ISO by the same? A formula would be easy enought. Does DOF in V-Ray add a lot of render time? I did a motion blur last week in a scene and it added an hour.

How did you do the DOF in PS? PS's lens blur or using a plugin like DOF? PS's blur can introduce artifacts , especially at areas where there's a big change in depth between adjacent objects, like your fence and grass.

Personally I'm not a fan of that type of architecture but that's not your problem - great set of images and you've got your lighting / exposure spot on between the sky and 3d. 3rd image is gorgeous, very cinematic.

Nice work. Like the colour palette a lot. Similar to what I think of as the Pixar colour scheme, but a bit moodier. Well done.

                      lmao

finally you made this background work =P hahah joking well done! not mytype of arch either but that seems pricey in this stage of the economy, lol but i guess we are all stuck with this loss in equity. =P

try putting some bushes on both sides of the fence maybe it takes the attention away from it. just a thought.

                      nice job.

I like the renderings, you've got a nice style going on there glorybound, in all of your renders. You love that sky though!

The architecture is so different to what we have here. It's just soooo American looking, and dated, but that's obviously not your fault!

                          Good stuff.
