  • Lake House WIP

Hi Just started a personal project, thought I'd post it for some crits as I go.

Needs furniture obviously, I originally had double glazed glass as it gave great double reflections had to scrap the idea though as it required reflection depth of 14 on the glass and the lake to get it to render any suggextions for workaround would be cool, might have to bodge it in post

looking sweet! really great so far...

the things that jump out at me: the rocks in the foreground could use some displacement/roughness. they look like lower poly geometry with noise modifiers. also, the trees in the background look a bit repetitive and could use some variation and maybe another layer behind them.

        Cheers for the comments guy's

Hmmn Lower poly geometry with noise modifiers eh, I wonder how they could've ended up loing like that??, Looks like I've been rumbled, will add the displacement and see if that covers my tracks a bit.

Also thought about glossies on the rocks , through glass but what the hell its a personal one. I might even put that double glazing back it looked so much nicer see if it kills the farm.

I love the material on the floor tiles. The water in the foreground sticks out as pretty rigid though.

coming along really nicely! just a thought, but what about a nearby mountain range in the left behind the trees?

                      Almost finished

Almost done for now as I have another project in mind, an we've been busy. Gimicky I will sort them rocks out eventually Promise, and like the idea of the mountains if I get the right image, so might try that.

It awesome to see how much the image has improved.
Not sure about the fog thou, It reads odd as it passes through a couple layers of glass.
