I can't post the models because they are too large. However, here is the link. You'll have to find the appropriate software (PLY23DS) for mesh conversion.

        Lots of great work Richard!!

Your absorption tests are really puzzling me though. Are you saying you are doing this without using translucency? In that case, I'd really appreciate if you could share some of the settings. Also what kind of rendertimes do you get with this, compared to translucency?

            Hey Egz.

Yeah, the absorbtion tests were produced without the use of translucency, only fog color and fog multipliers. Absorbtion absorbs light whereas translucency bounces light inside (I believe Vray currently supports one bounce only at this time) and therefore illuminates the subject from the inside.

Rendertimes were pretty long because I rendered these high res, with cranked settings in order to get the cleanest image possible.

Yadla, do a simple search on Google for PLY23DS. I believe a company called Cyberware wrote it. I think I had to ask them for a password to download it from them so I could use it to convert one of their 3D scan samples. This was about a year ago so I can't really remember. Needless to say, I can't give you guys the software (if I even still have it) because you need their permission to use it.
