  • Interpolated Glossy Reflections Test.

Just made a quick test with interpolated glossy reflections.

    http://www.suurland-media.com/animat...eflections.wmv (1mb, windows media 9)

The GI is precalced using every 20th frame, which wasn't enough or I should have made the FOV larger for the precalc, atleast there is some errors in the rim of the image.

Rendertime started at 2min per frame and decrease to around 1min per frame. Using a dual AMD2000

        You need media player 9

Render times are nice, reflections a tad murky, I will be glad to see wood floors that are not mirrors

                Very nice test Suurland!

Restoeboemi, with those render times? Of course he must be using VrayMlt.

Turn on the "Use interpolation" checkbox right below the Glossy value in the material.

Vince: that is in the old version. In the new version it is right below the reflect subdivs.

Bratwurst: which VRay version are you using? Make sure you have the latest version.

                            hello egz,

ok, i know "it is right below the reflect subdivs" but the settings are in the panel Reflect Interpolation. (Material editor=> VRayMtl=>basic parameters(right below the reflect subdivs) and Reflect Interpolation

                            Thanks for your precisions

                            have a good day
