  • New Work : Happy Hour

    Hello all friends,

I like Dusk (and Dawn) time a lot. It is my favorite time of the day.
So I wanted to create different looks of this time for this architectural visualisation.
I was experimenting with different colors of the time.
There are also other camera shots and different time of the day.

    Everything is 3d geometry.
Trees are made with Onyx Trees.

I would like to hear your comments.
    Best Wishes for everyone

These look great, I really love number 4 because it is so close to real that I feel I could walk on that grass. Nice to see this study on light.

I haven't used HDRI but actually I can say that I almost hand-painted on dusk renders

                Good mood, impressive images.
Maybe you could talk a bit more about lighting, environment, scattering...

excellent job. i especially like the morning shot. i think some variation in the color of the flowers would help.

what did you use to scatter the grass around with? Vray scatter or forest?

I like the overall atmospheres and the feelings your scenes invoke. Very cool and tranquil.

                          Hello,
Sorry for my late reply as I was on small trip.

Making of Grass and How To Scatter:

I used particle flow for scattering. First I modeled some 3d grass strands and then scattered them with particle flow. If you would like to see more detailed information, you can see it here in a previously prepared "making of" another older scene :
                          http://www.evermotion.org/tutorials/...under-the-tree
In this tutorial, I tried to explain step-by-step how I scattered the little pebbles on the ground. It is exactly the same technique I used for the grass.

                          Lighting:
For the mid-day shots I used VraySun and VraySky. Gamma=1, I didn't use LWF.
For the dusk time shots, I used VraySky but I almost hand-painted light on these shuts. Another option could be using HDRI but I didn't try it in this scene.

Thanks for your replies and kind comments. I really feel very glad to hear such nice comments for my work.
                          Best Wishes
