  • Cabin on lake

I had 1 day to complete this one... the story of my life. Issues, but for one day I am happy.

I like it but I think the color of the water should be dark green...it has a blue tint like a pool.

1 day, nice. I think it might help to have a bit of yellow in the interior lights.

To me the lighting seems really off on this - not natural. Its not really displeasing but something catches my eye and I think part of it is the dark band in the middle of the image (the bank) I think it breaks up the flow of the image too much. That said its a good 1 day image.

            Cabin

I agree.... I tried to bring some color out along the shore, in Photoshop, but there wasn't any color to be revealed.

              Winter Scene

Yesterday the client asked if I can place a wreath on the gable for a post card they are sending out today . I could not stop myself!

                Winter Scene

OK... I sent the winter scene off to the client, feeling pretty good about how it turned out. The client said, "no, we just wanted a wreath or something on the cabin"! Here is an update first image with the dang wreath.

I never really mind revisiting images because it gives me a change to take your comments and incorporated them into the illustration.

Defo like your snowy one, clients version doesn't really look Christmassy, looks a bit mauseleum-ish.

                    Christmas

I agree... I didn't get it. On this monitor (at home) the water looks neon. Is it my monitor or is the water a nice dark green?

                        water wrap

I think the water now looks more shiny wrapping paper, maybe the look they were after.........original water better.

I agree, I think the original water looked great just the way it was. I'd be VERY happy if I'd produced this after one day.

Nice work Bobby. The snow version turned out awsome. It's to bad they didn't go with that one but the client knows best ! I think the water color in your last post looks to teal in color. In fact I think your original version looks much better.

The only trick to the water is to have something under the water. Below the water I have geometry with a dark ground material. I'll post the actual material later.
