Burning the candles

Ive been updating a lot of older images for my portfolio and this is pretty much the last one till I start on some new stuff.

Ive named these 2 images "burning the candle" which Im sure a lot of you can identify with.

I like. How are you lighting the day version? Big Vray light with standard cam? Also what colour mapping/gamma you using?

Im using a vray dome light with a hdri of a cloudy sky + sun. Physical camera so I can adjust exposure. I only ever use gamma 1.0 and reinhard for projects these days. I find it much more straight forward and yields better results..imo.

Yes, my old workspace. It was fairly tight. No problem.
