Thanks a lot to each of you very much
It is very inspiring for me to hear your comments!

Priad: You are right, it is kind of LWF. Only I don't use Linear Color Mapping. So technically it is not LWF but I use 2.2 gamma correction.

As I said on Ronen's forum, great work, both on the design and on the technical aspect. Your materials are spot on and the fabric is particularly awesome.

                  Love the work

                  hey pixela
love the work makes me feel like if i am in the room.........its a good feeling
if you don't mind can i please ask you a few question (feel free to ignore me.....)
1.what makes a rendering look realistic? (i have tried and my work still looks cartoonish)
2.how would you go about achieving these images?
3.the lighting, camera view, materials choice are they from your mind?
                  4.what pointers can you give?

sorry if i ask childish question but i am unable to break away from images that looks cartoonish.

                  and again great work

                    Hello Pixela,

Ive tried your render setup you posted on Evermotion forum and it makes me wonder what sort of hardware have you got cos on my i7 at 3.6Ghz and 12 GB RAM, this setup is simply crawling...

woudl you share some rendertime with us plus the rendersize?

                    Thanks

                    Martin

                      Hello Martin,
I have 8GB RAM on my system and though it was forcing the threshold, I was fine. My resolution was 2000pix for square images and for the other ones, it was 1250-1400pix. I was leaving the renders for the night before I go to sleep. My system is 4core Intel 2.83 ghz cpu, 8gb RAM. I have to urge you to raise the AA noise threshold for large resolutions. Maybe it can be fine for you to use higher threshold even for smaller reso too. Some of my textures needed such small threshold and I found this number with experimenting.

                        Thanks a lot.
Let me try answer the questions
                        1. I am not a master but what I do is try to imitate the real world textures and lighting as much as I can. Best thing I can advise is to look at many photos and real world examples and try to mimic them.
                        2. I didn't understand this question.
                        3. Yes everything is from my mind. This is a virtual bedroom and I have designed it. Some furniture are by designers and some are designed by me. After modelling the room and furniture, I have set the camera angles.
                        4. These are not childish questions I can say "just start" and dont hurry until you have something you like. I think it is best to try this on a personal project than a commercial one as you will not have any deadline. Your deadline can be your own.

Hope I was able to help. Best Wishes

I must have missed this one - great work! Very natural feel to the lighting - reminds me of Peter Guthrie's work (that's a compliment).

Very beautiful work Pixela. I agree with all the comments here.

Someone mentioned a link on the evermotion forum but I couldn't find Pixela's name. Could someone link that up?

                                Thanks!
