    Hey,

    attached my latest project.
built in the austrian alps...there will be ~12 cottages in 3 styles; brick, stone, wood...the renderings show the brick version but you can see the 2 other types on the side.

all details are modelled, several million polies and even more dynamic geometry with plants (evermotion) and displacement.

the client received 3k renderings - some details got lost in this smaller version.
eg. the chain is modelled not textured...

the background is a photo of the actualy location...well, not everyone has a great camera so I had to use what the client sent me ;o)

Well done - these are superb! Your image makes up for the not so high res background. Looks photorealistic to me. How did you do the snow? I think I saw a wee script for max before that semi-automated the process of putting snow on surfaces, you didn't use that per chance?

Really nicely done - the exposure is spot on. I'd say if you did the same fringing and grain on the fg you'd have something seamless!

Looks great! I love the snow on the ground plants.
I can't see any bricks though, looks like plaster, wood, and stone veneer?
          Great images, indeed!

            well, I mean plaster )

            thanks for comments.
I had a version with more blur/grain/crom.ab to really blend in with the background but then it looked like a really bad photo. I am not a big fan of these effects although they make it look more realistic but at one point it is often just way too much.
I tried to find a middle way with less blur/grain/ca but still have it visible if really look closely.

the snow was done with basic poly modelling...detaching the roof surfuce + shell + turbosmooth + noise and a bit poly-painting/Push/Pull...I saw that script but did not use it.

Well, that plaster looks really good, too, I thought I was missing something, lol.
