Hi guys thank you for your replies... very useful indeed.
I have set up a different solution..
Less saturation on the walls more bumpiness on the wall...
Let me know what you think.
This is only a test scene as I said before, and I was only using it to try the baking technique.
I have reduced the blow up effect on the wall by using the exponential type on the colour mapping; the wood has some bump glossy material.
Fox hu I will reply by email to your post as soon as I get a little more time.
Flav it looks like an alien family looking around a contemporary furniture shop? only jokin! - nice, keep baking away matey. Oh, maybe try using Vrayshadows on your ceiling lights - better falloff.
Flavio - The second image looks much better IMHO, though the red couch is still a little over saturated.
Unless you intentionaly made the sky gray or white, you should uncheck "affect background" in the color mapping settings (I can't see well, but it seems to have a very slightly blueish feel, so I'm just guessing here).
Nice work.
Mossy - From what I can see, those are not lights/luminaires but openings.
Nenad: yes, sorry they are openings. all the more reason to have vrayshadows on the light coming through them though? no? after all all lights are area lights including the sun. Might look more realistic?
