  • Home Theater Seating

These are just a few of the chairs that I worked on for a home theater chair designer in Canada. All said and done there were 150+ combination's of seat backs and side arms. I ended up rendering 2500+ different texture/seat back and side arm combination's. Those were colored colored in Photoshop/Flash to create all the colors in between. (the designers web guy/gal did that part)

Wow. How many weeks did this go for?

I really like the first chair, if I had a choice I'd get that one.

Great job. Will you be putting together a theater chair package for sale?

I'm with you guys about the first chair, that's my favorite of this batch.
Its hard to say how long it took to render, several weeks for sure. We were adding some combos here and there plus small changes or mistakes were made so some had to be re-rendered as well. It was pretty easy to adjust color on these with an alpha but you had to have at least 5+ colors to start with for base to change the color. (I want to say there were at least 20+ colors for each material) So for my part I had to render 5 leather, 5 suede and 5 velvet colors and 10 patterns as well for each combo.(although some combos didn't offer all the options, most do) Attached are some other combos along with a few patterns that are offered on the chairs.

Little plug for Elite Home Theater Seating, they make some pretty sweet looking home theater chairs. I'm sure they're pretty comfy too.

jophus14-These chairs are the clients design so I don't plan on selling these. (unless the client decides otherwise.)

That's a shame. These are excellent models and the materials are outstanding. Keep posting.

Thanks for the responses. Here is one of the interior shots with the chairs. I ended making a few theaters for the client as well to show off the seating.
