It's a very long time since I uploaded any images to this site. This is a project I worked on a few years ago but some recent posts and uploaded images from Peter Guthrie have inspired me to revisit some old models using his HDRI files. This was created using the 1928 Dusk Sun. I hope you like the results.

Any comments and crits are very welcome.

Nice stuff, lighting and vegetal integration are quite nice.
( is the soccer ball out of scale, or could be just an impression?)

Lol. Almost feels like i was 10 years old. Looking at WHERES the SOCCER ball instead of weres waldo...lol.

Glad u revisited. The image looks great, even though i didnt see the older one. Well just pretend this was your first attempt =) Also the Vegetation is very well integrated. Change in the grass altitude gives the image great depth! Did you just scatter a different grass in different planes. ?

Great lighting an moody atmosphere. Only thing that lets it down for me is the grass - it looks like fluff or something like that. Is it displaced? Also, I think the blurred edge around the top of the building is a bit overkill. Nice idea, but a bit OTT in my opinion.
            Kind Regards,

Really great one ! Love the atmospher, the grass just cuting... very nice.
The only thing i can add is a little displacement on the walls, you have stones wall and on the left one the lightning run over it and isn't stop by anything... Just that !

                Thanks for the comments.

The football is the correct size. I double checked it when I dropped it in. Maybe it's just the perspective. There's quite a wide camera angle on the image.

Pixelbox, Tricky is absolutely right. It's a vray displacement. I agree that it does look a little 'fluffy' but thought I'd got away with it enough because of the different lengths. I've simply added different displacement settings to different areas of the terrain. The grooves in the grass are caused by an anomoly in the original terrain model and happened by accident, but I stuck with them because I thought they added a little extra, like something had wheeled through the scene.

Tricky, I agree obout the glow. Truth is, I was concentrating on the light coming through the trees at the rear of the image and the effect repeated itself on the roof. I think I just got a little carried away.
