  • Bank Interior

We do mostly bank interiors and design for the banking industry.
I started using VRay after I could not find the right solution for our GI needs and since Lightscape got killed. Vray is great, but I miss the manuals and more tutorials. I make progress, but please let me know your coments. Your coments are the best tutorials.
    Thanks
    Stefan

Looks good! Carpet needs a little work and the steel material but otherwise good stuff.

      Hey nice work Stefan.
      Good overall lighting.

      Some comments:
      1. If that is sunlight coming through the glass, then this light source should be much brighter than interior artificial lights.

      2. Your image seems to lack specular highlights and relflections.
I would suggest boosting the RGB levels on your self-illum material to cause blow outs in the light source and this combined with low level reflection will give you nice highlights.

      But otherwise, nice image.

I find all your colors too saturated, especially the wood and the red floor part.

I agree about the sunlight, it should be brighter.

Could you tell me what you would do with the carpet and steel? Dman3d?

You are right I have to make it brighter

          .

That's what I think it is when I get the feeling something is missing in my scene, you ae right? Could you explain it a little more, dejaVu?
What should I do, or some settings for the selfilluminated material.
          Thanks

I reduced the saturation for the wood allready, but what makes the map so saturated in the scene. In Photoshop the map is already pale and a lot desaturated? Thanks flipside.

The carpet comment is mainly about the tiling. I have found most of the stock carpet textures out there to be a bit small so I either take new photos or tile and existing one in photoshop and hand correct the tiled areas and save it back out, that way you have a larger texture area to work with.

            Or -

Mix 2 materials with noise, this can often do the trick as well.

Just my $0.02 but I am sure one of the whiz-bang guys around here have another way.
