  • Porto suburbs - Sóltrafego

    Hello,

Located in Oporto, at the ground level, will be a new businness dedicated to a company called Soltráfego.

Architect wanted the image to be at fall evening and show the acrilic (window frames) to have strong and uniform light. The concrete panels are VIROC.

Simple project used as a testing piece for all kinds of technical issues from modelling, deformation, texturing, vray enviroment fog, 32bit EXR post production in AE to Peter Guthrie´s HDRI tutorial.

In all, since it was so simple scene i had the time to test...

3 nights modelling, 1 week rendering.

Comments and critics are most welcome!

Added 1 image with crops from 2.5k pixel imgs.

    Location: Oporto
    Architect: Miguel Ribeiro
    3D Visualization: Metrocubicodigital

    Hope you like it,

    Cheers,

Very nice. Couple of things that let it down for me is the water reflecting in the second pic...the noise doesnt seem to look very real...maybe a bit too much and too large. The third pic has a section of concrete that disapears into the pavement which looks strange to me.

Saying that though, they are very nice pics...the car in the background looks very photoreal...nicely done !
              Regards

                  Hello,

Im glad you guys liked it. Its an honour to me.

There are some problems but i think in overall the result is satisfying.

                  @horoXhoro
Makes me very happy to know people around the net enjoyed the fog very much.
The car had a red vraylight on the STOP lights. It looked ok but not very good. So during post production, after rendering the levels, color correct and magic looks in AfterEffects i used Knoll Light Factory inside Photoshop and added a light to each STOP... then lowered a bit the opacity of the new layer to match the fog.

                  Hope it helped.
