    Heya Folks,

Some stage last year the place I work for did a short film for a "four day film festival" which meant that the film had to be written, shot, cut and posted within four days. So the creative director in here though it'd be a great idea to do a short with loads of effects shots in it. So after the shoot and cut, there was two days to turn around about 70 effects shots. I didn't smell very nice after. Now admittedly these were as simple as I could possibly make them - the film is about people who play warcraft so their character models were nicked directly from the game. They were skinned with character studio and we used things we thought looked right from a library of motion capture files and because it's dublin and sun doesn't actually exist here it was pretty much a skylight and that's it. Anyway it's a bit of a giggle.

Excellent little film that. I've never actually played World of Warcraft but I can relate to the people in the video.
Great concept. The whole feel of the video works extremely well against the background of the more mundane lives of the people involved.

Well done to the team who put it together. Good stuff.

That's great! I've never played warcraft either, but my brother does so I've heard enough about it, and could therefore relate to it.

Really nice little film, enjoyed it a lot. Nice subdued look.

Don't smile at Spaniards living in Dublin, that's something else I took from it.

Great Job. Really nice transition when you showed the RL person in the mirror. Caught me by surprise. I love the Concept, not sure how some people understood the idea since not everyone plays wow. On the other hand im sure the people that do play really caught on quickly.

That's where the stupidity comes in - Dublin advertising has no respect for post companies and generally don't know how we work so we're used to very stupid deadlines. Plus this was done the only way that it could be achieved in a quick time - really basic setups for every shot. The roto was the really nasty bit so we had 3 guys doing bits on it over the 2 days. Still a fairly big rush though!
