Looks good Bobby...
Modeling and materials look good overall.
I had a few comments, some maybe nit-picky...
1. Lighting looks to be daytime, but reflections seem like sunset/dusk
2. Grass under decks, not possible unless it's artificial. (I mean that it would die within a week under a deck with no sunlight.)
3. Tall grass at water edge is getting lost, maybe try a different color/hue/lightness?
4. I am no material master, but I would change the water. It looks like there is no wind, but the water is very rough and the noise seems a bit too small. If you had the time, you could make it less opaque and show some of the shallow shore beneath. But it might not show much depending on if it's the mucky lake bottom or a nice sandy one... And of course, there is not usually enough time, lol.
5. The shingles don't look as good as other images I've seen of yours. Are you still using the roof designer plug-in? I have it, too, but still not getting great results for asphalt shingles...

great feedback, thanks. I agree with everything and will work on it. I did use the roof plug-in, I actually have the new one that has a siding plug as well. This was a test to get away from the LWF, which seems to be working and I am getting the same result a lot easier. On this one my shadows were to dark so I applied a heavy curve in PS. I also can't seem to use my HDRI unless I have a multiplier of 30... is this normal?Bobby Parker

I have tried to go back once to non-LWF, and found the opposite and am happy to stay with it, but I have read plenty of posts where people don't care for it.....
A multiplier of 30 doesn't seem odd to me, as HDR map intensities seem to cover a broad range. I don't think I've ever used the same intensity for any 2 different HDRIs...

If you're using a vRay Physical camera, it is possible that a normal multiplier is yielding images that are too dark. Especially if your HDRI is a setting sun (less light). You'll find that the exposure settings will be a ballance between:
• the "f-number". The lower the number, the brighter the image. It's basically the apature that lets light into the lense.
• the "shutter speed". lower number give you brighter images. this is expressed in 100ths of a second I beleive. The default 200=200ths of a second.
• film speed (ISO) wich refers to film sensitivity. Higher numbers = brighter images.
So you can play with these if you don't want to boost your HDRI multiplier.Thanks,

funny you write that, because that is what I am doing now. I pulled out my FotoSharp Exposure Guide and set my V-Ray camera to real world settings and I am adjusting my HDRI multiplier to work, which seems to look nice at 1. I'll post an update soon.Bobby Parker

Lighting looks great. One small thing, the color of the sky reflected in your windows is different than that of the one shown in the view.Mike Henry
