  • A Kitchen

It's a work in progress, need to add some more furniture into it mainly and tweak it some more. Also, so no one screams, I opted for glossy paint for the ceiling, which is why the cupboards are semi-reflected in it.

Specular bloom was added in Photoshop 7.

    C&C away!

looks great but i think the reflections are a bit to strong.

I went off what I have in my house, freshly waxed and polished floors with 4 coats of polyurethane really do look practically like mirrors.

i have such floors too but mine are a bit more used then.

i only think that too much reflection make a image look more like CG.

Looks good, the light spilling in from the hall is nice a few crits (mostly subjective):

I would expect a bit of warp in a stainless panel that size.

Wood finishes are a little too eclectic or I would expect more color in the scene. ie. colored walls , some interesting tile and flatware.

          needs some baseboard

I would expect the space between the uppers to align to the sink.

Maybe reduce the GI that the uppers are bleeding onto the ceiling.

The terminology you're after is "skirting" at the floor/wall junction.

Excellent image Psy. Here are my comments:

                * The stainless steel counter could do with a little specular grain/scratches.
At the moment it's just looking like blurred chrome.

                * Out of the differnt types of timber on your cupboards, I'd say the "beech"
coloured one looks the best. The cupboards up above seem too red.

                * I love the lighting. Perhaps the next step is to some IES downlights above the stainless counter. Or perhaps a hanging tracklight.

                * Please, please run me through your setup. How many lights? Settings?
                Render times?

                Great work Psy.

after i fix all the things that everyone is pointing out, i'll write a tute.

oh, and sunny. just 1 direct light. I strongly feel that natural light is the best way to go, and its better for the body. I like my vitamin D.
