  • Recent vehicle composites

These are a few composites I've made for MBUSA. They provided the background image and CAD model data. I was responsible for the camera match, textures, lighting, and rendering.

These are the final images that have been adjusted/retouched by the talented staff at MBUSA. The images can also be seen on their website here: http://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/vehicl...T/model-R350V4

They're pretty much flawless, good work

The bottom left one at night looks a bit weird - it's like theres a huge white studio light above the car, but it's dark and colourful. The only one really threw me off to it being cg.

These look great. Did they supply you with CAD drawings and you had to model the vehicles or did they provide you with 3d models of the vehicles in CAD?

Thanks, and you're correct. All of these projects are/were a balancing act between trying to fit the vehicle into the back ground images while keeping some aspects of a studio light setup to show specific shapes/body lines, etc....some certainly leaned more towards the studio side instead of matching the back ground illumination and/or reflections.

Thank you. They provided the actual models so I didn't have to create them from data sheets (thankfully).
