Nice sectional, now I wish I had not thrown away my 3d glasses last week while cleaning the house

I wonder, how you've made the anaglyph effect finally.
Do I have to render it twice, one for the final image, and a side-by-side view for the red/blue-anaglyph overlay? Since things seem as I'm not able to save the anaglyph preview from VFB natively, I'm not really sure how to set things up the right way for compositing in Photoshop for example.

        best regards,

That's probably the best Anaglyph image i've seen, the fringing is not overpowering and I could still feel the depth. Nice Work!

It's simple, take Red Channel from Left eye image and put it in the Red channel of the right eye image... or the otherway around, I forget!

In regard to making stereo images - I've been using Stereo Photo Maker for some years now. You can load a separate left and right view, or call in a side by side view generated from Vray. Batch processing of video frames is also possible if you are not using After Effects. It's probably the best free anaglyph maker I've found.

can you take a image that you rendered and THEN turn it into this... What are the steps... I would love to try it out...

You can drag the stereo camera helper into your scene and set the eye distance. The helper turns every camera into a stereo cam. Then render your stereo image; you get 2 images side by side. Load that image into a program like composite (that's what we use) and then output a red cyan stereo version.
Here are a screendump of the composite workflow and a zip containing the composite file used.

Or do a google search the blog called "3dhippie" by david shelton, great 3dsmax stuff for stereo. Works with vray too (have only tried MR though)
