Excellent work!!!! I wouldn't even know where to begin modelling something like that.

The only comment I have is that the "wheel" material looks a little strange. Not quite rubbery enough. It almost looks like a gradient fill from photoshop. Matbe you could add a small amount of noise to a bump map or discplacement modifier.

Thanks for the crit about the mouse wheel. After a long slog i eventually got the wheel very close to what it should look like. I will post another pic when i manage to do a full scene render

I must admit Sunny... becuase it was my first project it took about 1 and a half month to do! But this forum and the tutorials on Vray.org helped me along. It was not easy to stay focused... many times i wanted to give up... but i am slowly getting there. The VRay Community especially this forum gave me a huge boost.

great work!! I really like the materials, though I agree with Sunny about the wheel. can you tell us about the clear plastic Mat'l at the base fo the mouse, I think thats some of the best I've seen

All my materials for this project were tweaked versions of the ones i downloaded from here:

For the grey clear plastic i tweaked the "GlassForest" material so that,

Refract 0,0,0
Glossiness 0.9
SubDivs 50
Exit Colour 99,99,99

WOW!! Superb!! I love the composition and the lighting. Its very similar to what one of my friends is working on, but his is no where near as good. I agree with what others are saying about the wheel, send us a new piccy. Also, lets have a look at the wireframe
