Hi all,
I am trying to create a SSS effect for really thin objects (planes, nurbs
surfaces),
but can't seem to get it to work?
My thinking is that in these cases, I need the SSS effect to
disperse _along_ the surface, and not so much into the volume
(since there is virtually almost no volume to speak off)
This is just a test render. The desired application is to use
SSS on architectural vizs with
membrane / fabric structures which are backlit at night.
The test render below shows the SSS material working for
big objects, but not paper thin ones.

Thanks
