  • Elder Car in North Dekota

It's fall... I purchase the itree vol 1 and used them in this scene. The building, like the thread title says, is an elder care facility.

I would like it as less CG with a bit less red and a bit of blur.

I think some of the materials could do with some tweaking.
Everything is a little flat. Some glossy reflections will bring out the different surfaces a lot more.

it's an old scene that we are using to study color. I'll work on reflection.., thanks!

autumn in an elder care facility.....lol....not much optimistic
i agree with Chris, give the materials a bit more work perhaps and maybe try to apply some film effects and CA either in NIK or through motiva real camera to take of the 3D edge

Maybe a bit more variation in the grass....especially near the curb and sidewalk edges....kinda looks like carpet right now. Not sure how it was done but the adjusted (blurry) one is better...the original was too crisp against the background. Great scene by the way!

It's a lot better. I think you could start using artificial lighting in such a dusky image. I really like this one. Now you're only left with technicalities like getting the grass to look better, and maybe defining the green thing in the foreground.

thanks. it didn't start as a dusk shot... I rendered linear float using the vrimg file so I had total control in post... it was a beautiful thing! Autograss broke so I have to work on the grass without a plugin.

I think you could loose the parking/planter in the FG and crop out a lot of the parking foreground. I like the look of the dusk but I wonder if it lends a bit of emotional quality for an elderly facility that doesnt need to be there.
