    Hello All,

I just finished this GI test of my house scene. Some things I'd like to improve but all in all I like the results.
Here is the link. 2.74 MB Divx format: http://www.joepizzini.com/FINAL.avi

    thanks,

    Joe P.

Very nice and a lot of improvements since I saw it at the first time! The major problem with the animation is that you are using a bilboard to cast the shadow and this should never look good, I can send you a geometric tree if you want to improve it a little

The intensity of sky should have more variation during the animation acordingly to the Sun movement and the background trees doesnt help to realism.

Anyway, very nice I specialy like the lightning at second part of the animation!

        Goncalo,

I would really apprecieate the geometric tree. joe@joepizzini.com I struggled with creating the shadows and never was totally satisfied. (However, I did intend for the tree shadows to jump rapidly at first.) Same issues thing with the environment...it needs to vary moe from light to dark. I made the environment by making 100 variations of the bg image in photoshop. So, about every 10 frames or so the bg changes. I am open to suggestions on a better method of doing this. I tried avi's in the environment slot as well as making materials out of an avi file, none worked well.
The good thing is that I'm no longer concerned about Vray blowing out light materials in direct sunlight...it seems to be natural.

        thanks much
