Hi,

If it is corrected in 3ds max 2014 why am I now getting the issue saving to PNG files? It was working fine in 3ds 2013...I'm I missing something?

I have a quadro k5000 card and I'm working if I should purchase the k20 or the new titan? Does Vray take advantage of hyper q or is it a waste to go with the more expensive kepler cards?

I sell my EVGA Geforce GTX 580 and buy a new one, so I made a last test with newest drivers before I sell it and a test with a new GeForce GTX 780 Superclocked from EVGA.

I think that is good.

780 Better than titan?! Wow. If only there was gtx 780 with 6gb of ram

I'm still waiting for NVidia, or a 3rd party that tweaks their cards to make an 8GB, or 12GB card. Then I'll start to make the switch to RT I think.

Titan has more cores, but lower default clock, so it sholud be 12-13% faster on default settings. However these cards have dynamic overclocking based on the temperature. If all conditions are the same, Titan will be definitely faster.

Yes, you have right. But I have 780 SC with higher default clock and higher GPU boost.
You are right, if I have a titan, it will be definitely faster cause have a very good case and temperatures is low. But this 780 SC card from EVGA has much better power/price then Titan. 12% for so much extra money is not good. I know, titan has 2x more RAM, but it not so important. For lot of standard scenes 3GB is good. And for some large scenes 6GB is still a few.

No question there, if you can go without the extra memory, 780 is pretty much the same as Titan. With these cards, Kepler really shows what it is about - huge amount of cores with almost the same TDP as GTX 580. 680 is balanced for games and just doesn't have enough cores for general computing.

The double precision rate of consumer Kepler cards, excluding Titan, is actually artificially hamstrung. A 780's DP rate is 1/24 of its single precision whereas Titan runs at 1/3. It's not just a RAM difference. It doesn't seem like RT uses DP much but you'll see a big difference going to Titan with things like Folding @ Home.

RT-GPU is not expected to have any benefits on GPUs that support (fast) double precision (aka we don't use any).

Just installed 2x GTX 780 (asus DC2OC) / max 2013 / Vray RT 2.45.01/Driver 9.18.13.3182 / 331.32
4m26s on first run, 3.55 on second run!!!!!!
there should be something wrong, but what?
