  • Showreel intro

    Hey,
Just wanted to put up my motion graphics showreel here with a little introduction done with Maya+V-Ray. Displacement map on the floor with a CarPaintShader to make it real reflective. A bit of overkill maybe, but it was fun and looks great! Decided to skip motion blur to preserve the details. Dynamic simulation done with RealFlow. Did some post in After Effects to bump up light diffusion, add motion blur and some Optical Flares to get a little lensflare. I am obviously really looking forward to Vray's LensEffects for Maya I had some flickering problems in the body of the character, because I think I may have left the reflection subdivs at 8 by mistake. Very annoying. Some small problems in the shadows here and there too...

Images straight from V-Ray before post:

Looks great! Thanks for sharing that. I never get sick of Vray renders.

        nice show reel ..
not so sure about the robot at the start .. it look very well rendered .. but the simplistic design , somehow is not doing it for me .

thanks guys! very glad to hear you like it!

Christophe: That's cool about the robot, man! my illustration/3D character design style is inspired by simple japanese figures, my vector work is like that too. I'm not into super realistic monsters from Zbrush
