  • Ideas Books - Flashing Marylin, Agassi & Elvis

    Hello,

I'd like to show you another project from Ars Thanea.

it was done for McCann Worldgroup, Mumbai.

All characters are made completely in CGI. My job was to take the base models and textures made by our modelers and push it to the next level . I did a shading, lighting and some fixes with modeling & textures. In the end I prepared base psd file for my art director Peter Jaworowski who did the whole post work in photoshop.

I like the Idea, and the execution is great. ( I would do Elvis shoes the classic black and white, from the early years, cause for me white shoes are not representative.. but then again, the sideburns tells it all)

Saw these pop up over at Debut Art's site the other day - really nicely job!

I think the Marylin treatment sells the concept the best, especially with the spine of the book forming in the shape of the jacket.

I'm not overly keen on the white looking highlights as they make it hard to determine what material the coats are intended to be - but that's just personal taste.

Roughly how long did it take the modellers to work up each character?
