  • Glass cracking test

    Hi

It's my first test here. I wanted to check Vray for Maya with conjunction of Fracture plugin in animation.
test for shading and materials , transparent shadows etc.

    http://vimeo.com/21255923

average frame rendering time for resolution of 1280x720 = 3 min. on single machine with 8 cores xeons.

    cheers

    czaps

p.s the same frame but using other renderer and native materials FG etc took about 15 minutes on customized quality setings... ))

    Hey!

the render looks great, but the simulation seems to be in slow motion... (both the projectile and the glass pieces falling).
    Check your physics!

    Cheers

nice render, although I agree with aneurisma about the physics,

compared to the size of the bricks the glass looks very thick, almost as thick as a brick in fact..
and yeah, it looks like a slomo

        thanks Guyz

yes it is slow motion , about 150 frame rate per second, Maybe it is the reason it looks strange ,
normally with 30 frames per second it will take about the second lenght.. next time will try to do something about it .

        cheers
