I've been playing with hairfarm in my spare time for about a week and this what I've come up with. The main draw back is I have to use standard lights to get shadows on the hair.

Would it be possible to use vray fur for this because the hair is pretty short?
You could get rid of the standard lights.
I also had good results with the max internal hair engine and vray.Reflect, repent and reboot.

Thanks for all the feedback, here's an update. I've made some changes to the skin and eye material settings along with adding eyelashes and tweaking the hair settings.
Tammo - I think going forward I'll find away to composite the hair and just use standard lights for the hair. Also I couldn't get anywhere with the built in hair and fur.
