  • Still life: breakfast

this is my first post in the forum, cause I always used Brazil for my personal/at work rendering.

I made this one just for fun, to test Vray capabilities with HDRI maps (kitchen_probe.hdr).

    As always, critics are welcome!

    I think it looks great!

What are your settings and render time?

      render time

      I used the default v-ray parameters for global illumination/irradiance map. (-3, 0 | 50 Hsph, 20 int.)

There are two v-ray area lights in the scene, no HDRI illumination (only used for reflections/refractions).

Materials are default v-ray mat, with fresnel reflections and a bit of glossines for center cups.

Render time is pretty good - 1hour on an 1.33 Ghz Athlon

            Very nice!

What AA settings did you use? I believe it can be faster than an hour...

            Best regards,

I'd be interested to hear about your experiences with both as well.
From your initial experiments, how do they compare? Strengths and Weaknesses of both?

Great image btw...simple but well composed.
