  • the old and new appearance :)

    i recreated one of the old samples to use the new splashes feature, and here is the result:

    and here you can see the old video, with no splashes:



    in the video description are given the times of rendering and simming.
    the particle count is relatively low (70k) and because of this all the particles are shaded as separate droplet, without fog mode. if the particle count is too big, the particles under certain size can be pour in a fog shader, the same one used to render fire and smoke.

                Is this stable surface settings a new feature of coming Phoenix FD?
                particularly new, the old version is also capable to produce stable surfaces, but in many cases the water level slowly grows up. in the new version this growth can be eliminated using one new tweak in the liquid UI
