Voltron: I know! I don't know the ins and outs of the Brix affair, but it is a great shame that such a beautiful piece of code, with no equivalent I know of (very happy to be proven wrong), is being left to rot.
"sorry for being absent with the website. My business partner and myself split up and
we are currently in the process of liquidating the company.
Dieter Finkenzeller will be the new owner of the software code and might or might not
release a new version. I personally can´t do anything in regards to supporting Max 2012."
I e-mailed Dieter yesterday but no reply so far. With the Brix website as well as the news letter being inactive for a long time I'm not holding my breath. It's funny you think it's a shame about the development being in halt.. having bought Brix early last winter, about 2 months before the website went down, I wouldn't be as subtle with my choice of words. How much was it again, like 250EUR? for a product with the lifespan of less than a year? NICE.Ville Kiuru

Yeah, I got a similar email from Dieter months ago, but was asked to keep it private. Thanks for the update, at least a glimmer of light for BRIX.
The plugin is probably the best/most useful, bug free one I've ever purchased for 3dsMax and I hope it does not die.
(It easily paid for itself in the first 2 projects it was a part of.)

Yes, Dieter is very much aware of the enormous interest in getting a working 2012 version. I'm quite optimistic we'll get there eventually. Big shame it came to this, though. But these things happen, especially in as litigious a country as Germany, and they are hard to judge from the outside.Check my blog

I'm German, by the way, lest there be any misunderstanding.
But I've lived in quite a few different countries and only found such a propensity to sue in the US.
One objective reason for this is that most Germans have a Rechtschutzversicherung, or legal insurance, which means that in most cases it costs people nothing to sue or to defend themselves when sued. Such insurance policies are not so frequent in other countries and they clearly encourage litigation.Last edited by BBB3; 20-05-2011, 02:35 AM.Check my blog
