Hi All- here's another image- one rectangular light, I think I turned off the environment GI for this one. Took about 10 minutes or less on my laptop.

    "C 'n' C" welcome as always....

nice rendering, it's got photoraphic quality. There are small black artifacts though in the lower left of the ceramic object in front.

Hi Gijs- thanks... yes, I had much worse artifacts in close-ups on a more coarsely meshed version earlier- it seems to be the edges when polygons are very nearly parallel to the camera view. On the earlier one it also turned out I had some of the nasty naked edges on the mesh in those areas- I closed them up, but I'll check this mesh and see what it looks like right there as well- it is quite a fine mesh.

This is a great studio setup. Very nice scene.
I like the simplicity of colors and the glass material for the lid for the red pot is a nice touch.

Nice scene, but the quality of the lighting could be better. I would try IR -3/0 + LC 800, 22 subdivs and use "store with irradiance map" for the arealight.
