This thread was started some years before and isn't updated since a long time, because my web page shows the images of the projects of the last years.

Also here can be found images and an animation (Bongo+Vray) from a project:

    -------------------- old gallery ----------

    Hi,

here my gallery of render experiments and commercial work. C&C are welcome.

    (01) Velociraptor

    EDIT 29.3.2006
In the last weeks I have start to do arch viz. It's hard job. Photorealism in exterior arch viz need so much extra stuff like trees, peoples, cars ... . So, first I try to stay a classical model level now. Here two examples.

    (02) Eventcenter Exterior setup (I know, the shadow bias is to high and will be fixed later)

    (03) Studio setup

Both are rendered per LC+QMC and Vlados adaptive sampling method.

And I don't want forget my first Vray project.
    (04) small privat wellness area.

    EDIT 30.3.2006

A tight deadline dosn't allow to spend to much time for details. So, I try to find a simple style to show the main aspects of a scene. The short rendertimes of Vray are a big help for me. Interesting for me was to use a hand colored ground plane as environment (6).

    (05) resort pool area

    (06) first concept

    (07) light simulation

A few weeks befor I have tested the spherical camera. I like it. It's very easy to get a virtual reality movie like this here:
    www.simulacrum.de/download/PANORAMA_02.mov (216k)
More infos about the usage here.

    EDIT 19.4.2006
Here my last project - a perfumery. Important for a good render speed: I have used emitter materials instead arealights for all the samll lights.

    EDIT 22.4.2006
Here a few images from a small project - hotel room. The time for the visualisation was limited for three days, so that not all details are modelled, like I would do it with more time. The goal was to show the concept of the room and the furniture.

    EDIT 16.5.2006

Most of my projects are done in less days, so I try to get the atmosphere of a room and don't spend so much time at the details. Vray is good tool here - fast rendering for fast modeling.

cosmetics studio (experiment: the mirror on the wall is a single material on a plane with diffuse map (scan from a magazine), transparency map and reflection map)

    (19)

    (20) ... and here I have test a 2D people first time (the white edge bug will be fixed in the next release)

    EDIT 16.6.2006

    (21) ... I wish I had more time to work on this scene, like allways

    EDIT 19.6.2006
... a small privat wellness area.

    EDIT 12.12.2006
... the most images of the last months can I not show here, but here an exterior for a client and two "just for fun" projects.

    (25) Exterior exercise

    (26) Color concept

    (27) ... my favourit tools

Very nice DOF and overall mood. Have you tried it in maxwell RC5? I believe that it would be much quicker thah 24h...

Thanks. RC5? No. I have stoped to use Maxwell at RC3. Maxwell is in the most cases to slow for me.

Nice images Micha! Very nice. Just out of curiousity, on (07) light simulation, wre the lights in the ceiling emissive material?

I tried these per your suggestion for my scene and even with a multiplier of 20, had a hard time getting light into the scene.

                Thank you for the comments.

Bill, I'm not sure how I have build it and I don't have the scene here at my machine now, but I will look tomorrow, how I have done it in detail.

Edit: the lights are white diffuse half spheres with a small arealight and a spot light inside - a mix of focused light (Spot) and omni light (area). At this time
I have not known, that I could use emitter materials, so I have used area lights.

                  Michas Gallery (update 12.12.2006)

Today the update with the images of a hotel room. I hope you like the spot light model (image 12) - a combination of a round emitter plane as visible light source, a small invisible arealight for the diffuse light around the light source on the walls and a spot for the focused light on the ground. I have try to get a subtle effect of the different light effects.

Part of the visualisation was a bath room too, but I have forget the images at my other machine, so I will post it in a few days.

Very nice gallery. I am most impressed by the facade of the parfum shop. It's very good! I allways find more difficult to make outdoor views as you do not control easily the environement and need a serious mapping works...
                      Congrat!!

I've been trying to use the spherical camera to make panorama for a while, but i never got the expected result: a 360 picture.
Can you give details on how to do?
I tryied your link "http://asgvis.com/index.php?option=c...0&topic=312.0" but the post is not available (i got a "The topic or post you requested does not exist"...)

                      Thanks,

                            Thank you for the comments.

Marc, I agree, exterior rendering is difficult for me too. Good for me was, that the view on the facade of the parfum shop is limited. What I will do in the next time is, to shot typical textures from footways and facade elements.

                              Glass question

Those interiors look unbelievable! Great work!

Do the perfume shop or the hotel room have glass in the windows? I am having issues with an interior where I can't get the appearance of glass in the window. Either the backround is too bright (outside) or the glass is too reflective.
