    Hi,

Here is my first try with vray for rhino.
Texture handling is a bit tricky i think compared to 3ds version but it will be easier i hope in the next future.

    c&c welcome

ps : bamboo objects are from the interior scene topic in this forum...

here is an update with soft shadows and warmer feeling...

    A nice start.

    Some improvements could be:
    - aliasing effects on high contrasted parts (better you use a expontial (Reinhard) mode)
    - use the tiling for the ground (you could try to enable "tile" at the material and use the Rhino mapping tool)
    - use a directional for the sun light and use a radius for a little bit blurred shadow
    - I would avoid, that the upper window shadow edge cut the foreground room from the background room
    - the material of the chairs looks like wet plastic - I would try more roughness and fresnel enable

    Good luck.

      thanx Micha,

I think you're right for all the points.
For the tile maping on the ground i try it but it does not work. All i have is a blank grey surfaces ( i tried all the maping options ! )

For aliasing, i don't know the difference between all the parameters but i'll give it a try

for the plastic of the chair, i don't agree that much but why not

by the way, your personal work is awsome !

          thank Joeb

hope a reflection layer will be inserted also in the Vray frame buffer...

I would simply turn on clamp colors, then the sampler will be able to smooth out the very bright reflections.

There is an awfull lot of splotches on your walls. What are your GI settings?

Great looking images. IMO direct lights need some area effects.
Can someone share that bamboo-sticks in the vase ! Thanks a lot !

IR for first bounce, light cache for 2nd, but i think it is due to my bitmap wich is not properly scaled and contains some " splochtes " like for concrete. i'll try a smaller one with some tiling...

can you send me a texture or material with texture for the ground floor please. I cant find any as that good as yours.
By the why, very good, classy design.
                    Thanks

                        It is no bamboo objekt.

These plants are called Lucky Bamboo (Dracaena Sanderiana) but they are no real bamboo.

                          thanx

the material for the table is a glass like material with black difuse, and a fresnel of the reflection.

                            nice one
                            good light.
I think you leather is a bit to shiny, isn?t it? looks to me more like a shiny plastic. The venation of the wood texture on the floor is to large. ( well the furniture can be very small indeed )
