simple material test, also featuring the new ies "fake" lights from Micha (thank you Micha, they work quite well) and the wood texture contributed by Jean-Paul Paloux (thanks!).

    concrete texture is from arroway.

Curves, denoising and vingnetting done in PS, due to heavy color correction in PS the ceiling is beginning to show banding color artifacts, I wonder if this could be lessened by having 16 bit color dept support in png format...

Fine work. I like it. Only a little bit to blurry for my taste.

Andy, The "fake" light you mention are object with emmissive layer? Does it render faster than normal light in this scene?

The glass panel render very nicely! I wonder if they are solids or surfaces.

One more thing, the "iron snake" highlight look strange to me. It seems it's not much affected by the indoor light... Is that some ps job?

... been away for a few days...

@ Micha: I guess you are right about the blur

@ Marc 88 : The "fake" light is Michas invention, works by using maped geometry in front of your emitter to get that ies like light pattern. look here:

concerning the glas panels : simple solids 2 cm thick. The iron snake is not manipulated in PS, it is just the way it rendered out of VR...
