Hi -- This was used to secure a project for an interior designer firm...

They used in progress renderings and being able to "see" the space evolve, to help with their design intent - lots of backlighting along the bar, underlighting of the orange stand-up tables, and custom furniture and light fixtures.

Vray lights along the windows (low settings), multiple spots, direct sun, -3/-1, Env. light 5.0, Dark Mult. 1.5, 2400 wide, I think render time was 5-6 hours.

Any C+C for next time appreciated...

(image below appears slightly more saturated/contrasty than actual print delivered)

Only one word describes it....impressive. I love the materials you used for the galvanized ceiling and duct work.

      Nicely done.

        nice .....

        just a couple of comments.......
1: i do think some of your materials could be a lot more refined..
2: i think some of your lights are slightly to bright in places and are blowing out your materials...
3 : did you use vray shodows ... i think the shadows look to heavy and harsh.... a'bit of soft shodows wouldnt go a miss.....

and 4 : im not sure about the Highlights all over your lights...maybe a little to much ..

oh and 5 : maybe a background in you scene ..

sorry to go on ,,,, im no wiz kid ..... just things i would do i geuss .....right or wrong..

and Mike......sorry mate but i will have to disagree with you .......i think this is one of the best i've seen

Looks great. The sense of space and atmosphere is impressive. The background is a little too blown out for my taste. The contrast between the interior and exterior is just too extreme.

How long did it take to model all those bottles of booze? I hope you had plenty of examples to work from.

Another this just came to mind. The corrugated HVAC ducts appear to be just texture mapped. They would look fantastic in that space if the corrugation was modeled. You wouldn't have to model the spiral in the corrugation just do a symetrical wave pattern.

Thanks prey1979 - the ducts are actually too simple: a lofted shape, a vray material with currugated looking map in the diffuse and bump slot, made reflective to pick up the hdri map that gives the metal the nice variety in reflections...

Pixeljockey's suggestion would add even more realism to the overall look.

                  Hope this helps you!
