    Hi all,

here is my last picture done with vray for rhino. It's an old project that I have modeled in rhino.

    2 wishes :
    - I hope vray for rhino will be able to create soon a mat/shadow material
    - I would an option that allows to my environnement HDRI to be only visible for the reflection

Looks good. And so fine detailed. Great.

Only the colors are nothing for me. Did you use the decal option of VfR?

Also, it would be better if the mortar would not be reflective. But this is a current problem of VfR, that the user can use fresnel and reflection map at the same time (good example for that problem). Or did somebody know an other method?

I would an option that allows to my environnement HDRI to be only visible for the reflection
Did you mean, a material based reflection map? Or did you mean that the reflection env should be invisible for the camera? Could be useful. But if you save the rendering as png and open the file in photoshop, than the reflection environment is invisible per alpha chanal and you can set every background color you like.

Thank's for comments. And thank's for the png tip. I will try...

Yes, I used the decal option of VfR, and the mapping option of rhino.

I know the problem about the mortar, so here are some new renders with an other ground.

Without the tile ground it looks very nice. Also I like the details of the power supply. Looks so real.
One suggestion I have - the printed letters looks a little bit to much blury, maybe you have forget to disable the map filter.

Nice to see the decals in action. I have not used it yet. Which GI method and kind of lights did you use?

Very nice work, amazing sense of detail.

Its been my experience with Philips (as far as aircraft power tools are concerned) that they love the turquoise green and the dark purple. Those colors scream Phillips/Black & Decker.

Any chance you could let me know how you did the decals section / area is in v4r? - Or at least how you did them? - I've got to do some on a project very soon?!

              Hi all,

              Thank's for the replies...
The GI method for this project : irradiance map and quasi monte-carlo
There is no light in this scene, I used HDRI for the lighting and for the reflection.

Here is a zoom on the power supply : I don't know how to control the depth of my bump.

And here is a screen capture for the mapping :

                Beautiful photo.

At the texure options you can see a multiplier, - should work for the bump.

                  Thank's Micha.
For the bump, it works : I can control the depth with the multiplier setting.
                  Great !
