    Hi,

I'm looking for some feedback on how to improve these images. This is the first commercial rendering I've done using Vray. Average render time for 150 d.p.i image was about 8 minutes.

I'm looking for better clarity of image details, better looking glass etc.

    Thanks,
    Bill

    Hi Bill,

For me, the mood of the image is to greyish and homogen.

    I would try:

    - to set additional spotlight for more attraction (warm colored)
    - set the wood texture more tiled and in the same scale at every object
    - render in double size and downscale it - maybe you get more details
    - test a higher intensity of the reflection enviornment could give more reflection at the glass
    - a little bit color or grey at the refraction color of the glass would darken the glass a little
    - usage of a colored HDRI as light source. Must not be extrem colorful, maybe something like the classical building or uffizi HDRI.
    - add a subtle outline from AIR

My classical favourit method to get a warm mood is to use photoshop in postwork: use Ctrl-M (I don't know the english name of the tool) - set the gamma curve of blue less and of red higher. So you should get a warm mood for the whole image. Also the images could be brighter, so that the grey will be more white.

    Good luck.
