    Jewellery Rendering

try lowering the glossy reflection amount to about .75 to .8, that should give you that relfection on the diamonds tables that you got from Cinema 4d.

Also, youll need more light, just like at the sales counter!

oh and your metal is blueish/green again

Yeah - I messed around with the test scene myself. Those bubbles are definately a part of the scene. The glass material itself is just like any other glass - I'm letting Corey look over my translation before I post it up though.

            Re: Jewellery Rendering

I know you all have worked on these hard but none of the stones look anywhere close to a real diamond. Can one of the adminstator translate the diamond material on the Vray materials site since we can't us them or show us what to do for pulling off a real diamond?

              Re: Jewellery Rendering

In the current build of vray the capabilities for a diamond material are somewhat limited. In out internal build we have it hooked up so that dispersion is possible, which makes for a much more realistic diamond. Currently the proper setup for a diamond material is the same as a basic glass with an IOR of 2.17. Keep in mind that allot of the appearance of the diamond depends on the cut, or its geometry, as well.

                Hey
Although the metal looks shiny it looks blue in color.
