    Re: Real visualization project

Nomeradona: The backgroound is added in photoshop. Though im thinking of trying to use SU's new feature photomatch to see if i can get it better.

But i'll definitly correct this. Thanks for the input about this issue.

      Re: Real visualization project

i think photomatch is only for modelling based on the photograph. (correct me if im wrong) the thing that im saying is creating a huge vertical plane outside the su model and painting the image on the plane. uncheck the fixed pins to match up the photograph with the interior. attach some images to explain further.

Well i think you can use photomatch this way too... and again... i prefere to do it in photoshop. Im aware of the pushpins, but thanks for the effort.

I've shanged the perspective on the exterior image in the bedroom. Is it better? I've also added an exterior image so you can see the building in it's full glory.

Nomeradona: I updated the original links. Since they are linked to my own webpage - they get updated automatically.

Your images are great. If there is a problem outside image, I suspect it is more to do with distortion (convergence) of the outside image itself. That and of course the 'turning torso' will help to throw things out. However, I thing you have the light levels etc on the image set perfectly.
On the interior - thats a really neat idea merging photos of the clients furnishings with the image. Good stuff.
Did you photoshop-in the sparkle on the lights? and with so may lights how long was the render time?

Re: Real visualization project (Exterior picture added)

Thank you David for your comments... And yes, you're probably right about the Turning Torso building... it'w quite confusing to see in real life since it's twisted. The costumer hasn't complained about the exterior. So i'll keep it like it is now.

David: What do you mean about the thing about "merging photos of the clients furnishings". Most of the objects are from 3Dwarehouse. And the only photo added is the blankett and pillow in the bed - photos taken from my friends appartment.

Yes i did add the sparkles in photoshop - unfortunatly the house is not sold with spotlights so i had to remove them all. I will post the approved picture from the costumer in the beginning of next week.

The render for the kitchen view is about 5 hours (kitchen stuff blurred metall) i think and the bedroom is about 3 hours (1600x1200 px). The exterior is about 20 mins render because there is only GI and one lightsource in the entrance (2000x1500 px).

And finaly thanks David for those kind words!

Hey hey hey... i got some image of the construction of the building - almost shot at the same place i took the images for my work:

                      Photo:

                      3D:

I also got a link of the official site for selling the appartments. There is a interactive rotation of the building where you can click on each appartment to see the layout.

Great Shots...Its nice that they got the shot from almost the exact same spot as the rendering. Its very rare that we get to look at a side by side comparison like that, and to be honest I am quite impressed. I do have one question...how much of your render is built geometry and how much is a photograph?

Also, I assume the site is in Swedish?? Either way it doesn't matter because I think English should adopt that spelling of Fasad...I just love it ;D

Yes it's swedish, but still possible for people to understand i think. It's mostly visual the site. I can't wait till the building is done. If they don't take photo of it, i will and post it here.
