I hope you don't use the universal method for the interior. It cause bad effects at the Irradiance Map sometimes. (I wish I could get a solution for that. :-\ )
If you use a standard setup, than try a higher IM subdiv count. At interior I use 60...120 subdivs and 20..40 samples.
I'm not sure what your exterior light source is, but if it is a arealight, than set subdivs at 16 (good for most cases), against noisy shadows.
Glass plate material - enable affect shadow (so, no GI caustics are calculated, only simple transparent shadow of the glass objects)
